Bedrock is a public benefit corporation developing technology to make sure humans get ocean exploration right. We’re vowing to explore and map the entirety of Earth’s oceans. All representatives of the company—including directors and executives—are required by law to consider more than just the need to return value to shareholders. We are also required to provide a defined public benefit throughout the life of the corporation.

Today, subsea surveys are primarily about ships, assets, operations, and lots of people — not technology, not data. Bedrock is changing this status quo by taking a data-first approach to subsea surveying, and improving data acquisition and management across the industry.

We are on a mission to make ocean data more accessible to all. We believe we should get to know our world, and to help anyone become an explorer of our oceans.
