Revealing Hidden Depths Episode 20 - the Seabed 2030 Podcast
We’re pleased to share an episode of Revealing Hidden Depths – the Seabed 2030 Podcast in which Bedrock is featured.
For the December 2025 episode, Head of Partnerships Steve Hall speaks with Bridgit Boulahanis, Director of Data & Solutions, and Charles Chiau, CEO, CTO, and co-founder of Bedrock —one of the very first industry partners to join forces with Seabed 2030 in 2020.
In the conversation, Bridgit and Charles discuss Bedrock’s passion for seabed mapping and open knowledge sharing, including the company’s innovative Mosaic system, which allows users to log in and access very high-resolution seabed mapping (up to 25 cm resolution) in areas where data exists.
The episode also explores Bedrock’s role as a respected builder of specialist marine autonomous systems. Bedrock is a vertically integrated ocean exploration company developing proprietary robotics and software to rapidly and cost-effectively explore the world’s oceans at unprecedented scale. The company provides subsea survey services (including hydrographic, geophysical, and UXO surveys), alongside paired cloud and local software designed to store, process, and derive insight from subsea data.
